About Heather

HEATHER Wilkinson began painting in 2014 whilst grounded from travels and activities by an arthritic hip. She found great joy in painting moments of connection with people and places recorded on her camera from travels in India, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Europe and Mexico and at home in BC. In the past year of Covid, grounded again, this time by covid, Heather has created a new portfolio of flower paintings.

She is a member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and has shown in many local (Comox Valley, Victoria, and Vancouver) galleries, restaurants, and shops.

Painting, mostly in watercolour, Heather found great joy in painting people, places, flowers, animals and landscapes from moments of connection, captured on her camera. She discovered she had a special gift in portraiture.
