Baba Hari Das came to North America from India in the early 70s.  He gathered a group of followers and started both the Mount Madonna Yoga Centre near Santa Cruz, and the Saltspring Yoga Centre in BC.  I had the delight of sitting with him in 1980 at a yoga retreat at Camp Elphinstone. I hope this painting makes you feel the way I did when I sat with him.  Open, quiet, happy, alive.
