In Rajastan, on the backroads, we noticed a pastoral scene of a farmer driving his bullock around a device that powered a water wheel that brought up buckets of water to fill the irrigation ditches. We spent some time with him and his wife and a couple of other farmers, connecting without a shared language. This photo was taken the moment after my friend had expressed her appreciation of this gift of his time with us by giving him a small amount of money.
